$400K COMMITTED TO UPGRADES OF AFL FACILITIES IN PANANIA

David Coleman, the Federal Member for Banks, has recently announced that the Federal Government has committed $400, 000 for upgrades of AFL facilities at Kelso Park in Panania, if it is re-elected.

Current AFL facilities at Kelso Park are outdated and in need of repairs, which is why Bankstown Sports AFL Club intends on upgrading the park’s existing change rooms, as well as installing a new electronic scoreboard.

Mr Coleman has noted the positive impact these upgrades will have on the local community.

“For too long AFL facilities have been neglected in the southern Bankstown area,” Mr Coleman said. “I’m glad the Government has committed funds to these upgrades.”

President of Bankstown Sports AFL Club, Mr Tim Hall, has said that these upgrades will go a long way in benefitting local sportspeople.

“This funding will mean that we are able to provide modern and accessible change room facilities for our local athletes,” Mr Hall said. “Spectators will also benefit from the electronic scoreboard we intend on installing.”
