David Coleman MP, has launched a petition that calls for action to reduce the amount of speeding that is occurring at Kyle Parade, Connells Point.
“Residents are sick of seeing Kyle Parade used like a racing track,” Mr Coleman said.
“Speeding traffic on the road has caused numerous accidents, including a very serious incident just a few weeks ago. Action needs to be taken before there are even more injuries”.
Mr Coleman and local residents have met with Kogarah City Council to discuss the matter.
“I congratulate Council on taking a constructive approach to trying to solve this problem. The petition will help to demonstrate to Council the large number of residents who are concerned about this issue”.
Mr Coleman said that possible solutions include the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Kyle Parade and Terry St, and speed humps or chicanes on Kyle Parade near Donnelly Park.
The petition can be filled out online, at https://www.davidcoleman.com.au/kyle-parade-petition
