On Saturday October 7, David Coleman MP, the Federal Member for Banks, celebrated The Moon Festival at Club Central Hurstville.
The event was attended by the Treasurer, The Hon. Scott Morrison MP and around 250 members of the local Chinese-Australian community.
Mr Coleman spoke about the importance of the Moon Festival as an opportunity to celebrate community and family. These sentiments were echoed by the Treasurer in his remarks.
Attendees were entertained by performances from The Sydney Musicool Ensemble, ARCO Chamber Orchestra, Asian Women at Work and the 2 Hulusi Ensemble.
“I was pleased to host this event and celebrate the Moon Festival with members of the Chinese-Australian community in my electorate of Banks,” Mr Coleman said.
“I would like to thank the performers who entertained on the day. I would particularly like to thank the Treasurer for attending and speaking at the event,” Mr Coleman said.
