On 24 September 2018 David Coleman MP met with the Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon. Michael McCormack MP, and representatives from the local organisation, Little Wings, at Bankstown Airport.
Little Wings is a not for profit organisation which provides transport services for children from rural and regional NSW who need to access medical services in city centres. Established in 2012, Little Wings conducts its operations out of Bankstown Airport.
“Little Wings is doing a wonderful job keeping thousands of regional families together in the toughest of times,” Minister McCormack said.
“It was great to be able to hear about some of the great work Little Wings does,” Mr Coleman said. “They make a great difference to so many regional children and their families.”
The visit follows the announcement that the Federal Government will waive more than $2 million in annual service charges for five not-for-profit aeromedical operators, one of which includes Little Wings.
