Federal Member for Banks, David Coleman MP, has announced that the Bankstown District Amateur Football Association will receive funding from the Australian Government to assist with the purchase of important equipment.
The Bankstown District Amateur Football Association will receive more than $6,000 under the Government’s Stronger Communities Programme. Part of this funding will be used to purchase portable grandstands for Stuart Street Reserve, Padstow.
“Stuart Street Reserve hosts a number of important competitions and gala days throughout the year”, Mr Coleman said.
“Additional seating will help the Reserve cater for more spectators and will mean more locals can attend these events”.
Mr Matt Rippon, General Manager of the Bankstown District Amateur Football Association said the funding was much needed.
“The Association has grown significantly recently. Our representative programs have more than doubled in the past year”, Mr Rippon said.
“We are looking forward to having additional seating at Stuart Street and giving more locals the opportunity to watch our games”.
