NEW PLANE FOR LITTLE WINGS IS TAKING FLIGHT

David Coleman MP, Federal Member for Banks, has visited Bankstown Airport to
congratulate Little Wings on the purchase of a new plane to expand its medical
transfer service for children and their families from regional NSW to Sydney.

The new plane was purchased through a $700,000 grant from the Federal
Government and is now in operation, making up the third aircraft in the fleet of Little
Wings.

“Little Wings provides an invaluable service to our community, transporting kids and
their families from regional NSW to Sydney for medical treatment,” Mr Coleman said.
“This new plane will allow Little Wings to build on its important work by increasing its
capacity for medical transfer services.”

Since its establishment as a not for profit organisation in 2012, Little Wings has
completed more than 2,000 medical transfers, in support of 236 families across
NSW.

Clare Pearson, CEO of Little Wings, said that the organisation continues to see
growing demand for seriously ill children travelling to and from regional NSW to the
Sydney Children’s Hospital Network for life saving treatments.

“We are very pleased to welcome a third aircraft to our fleet, an addition made
possible by the support of the Federal Government. To date, this new aircraft has
supported 23 families and allowed us to offer consistent support across 55 regions of NSW,” Ms Pearson said.
