David Coleman, the Federal Member for Banks, was recently joined by representatives from All Saints Oatley West Soccer Club at Oatley Park to announce that the Club will be receiving $500, 000 in Federal funding.
The Club plans on using the money to upgrade their existing clubhouse at Oatley Park – which is more than 50 years old and is desperately in need of repairs.
David Coleman has welcomed news of this funding, noting the positive impact that upgrades will have for local athletes.
“This funding announcement is great news for not only local athletes but also their families and supporters who will benefit from this new clubhouse,” Mr Coleman said.
“These upgrades are well overdue, and I am glad we have been able to secure funding for this important project.”
Club Operations Coordinator, Mr Alan Comrie, has described this funding boost as a positive investment for the local area.
“The size of the existing clubhouse has become inadequate, particularly with regards to gear storage in order to accommodate the growth of our club, so it’s great that this funding has been provided,” Mr Comrie said. “The local sporting community is really going to benefit from this.
