PADSTOW STUDENT WINS THE 2017 BANKS JUNIOR LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

Thomas Forrester, a Year 6 student from St Therese School in Padstow, has been announced as the winner of the 2017 Banks Junior Leadership Scholarship.

The Banks Junior Leadership Scholarship was launched in 2014 by the Federal Member for Banks, David Coleman MP, and is given to the Year 6 student in Banks who displays the strongest combination of academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement.

“Thomas is an excellent student who deserves this Scholarship,” Mr Coleman said.

“His dedication to his studies is reflected in his outstanding results”.

“Thomas also has a great record of service within his school as well as his parish”.

“He has also been involved in fundraising activities, the Student Representative Council and was selected as a School Captain in 2017.”

“Thomas also participates in cricket and football with St Christophers, Panania.

As winner of the Banks Junior Leadership Scholarship, Thomas received a framed certificate, an Australian Flag, a Constitution of Australia booklet, lunch and guided tour with family in Parliament House, Canberra, $250 towards educational expenses and a $150 book voucher.
