RESERVE BANK HEARING HELD IN HURSTVILLE

Federal Member for Banks, David Coleman MP, said that he was pleased that Reserve Bank Governor Glenn Stevens had come to Hurstville for the House Economics Committee Public Hearing.

“The Reserve Bank is responsible for setting interest rates, and with so many local families affected by the raising housing market, I wanted to bring the Committee to our area,” Mr Coleman said.

“It was also great to see many local residents come to the Hearing to hear the Governor’s testimony”.

Mr Coleman also organised for students from Marist Catholic College, Penshurst and Georges River College, Oatley to ask the Governor questions during the Hearing.

The Hearing was held at Club Central, Hurstville.
