On Tuesday 5 April, David Coleman MP, Federal Member for Banks, hosted a Roundtable for local veterans with the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, the Hon. Dan Tehan MP.
“Veterans are very important members of our community, and they often face issues that are unique to their circumstances,” Mr Coleman said.
“Our veterans have made immense sacrifices in serving Australia, and it is critical that they receive the support they require from Government”.
“It was good to have Minister Tehan in Banks to answer the questions of local veterans”.
Members of Penshurst RSL Sub-branch, Oatley RSL Sub-branch, Padstow RSL Sub-branch, Panania Diggers, St George Royal Australian Air Force and Riverwood Legion attended the Roundtable.
The Roundtable was hosted at Panania RSL Club.
Minister Tehan said the Forum provided him with the opportunity to discuss issues of importance with local Veterans.
“We discussed a number of important matters including the mental health of veterans, current defence spending and Australia’s involvement in the Middle East”, Minister Tehan said.
