David Coleman, the Federal Member for Banks, has welcomed news that St George Little Athletics Club is set to receive $500, 000 in Federal funding.
The Club plans on using the funding to purchase new athletic equipment and to invest in upgrading the athletic field facilities at Olds Park.
“This funding will go a long way in benefitting the local community, by improving facilities and attracting new athletes,” Mr Coleman said. “St George Little Athletics is a great organisation and deserves this support.”
“We are very happy to be able to accept this funding,” said the Club’s President, Theo Latanis. “It will really help us provide a better sporting experience for St George athletes and their families.”
It is expected that the project will commence in 2019.
