TREASURER JOE HOCKEY AND DAVID COLEMAN CONFIRM $500,000 FOR 3BRIDGES COMMUNITY, PENSHURST

Federal Treasurer, Joe Hockey MP, and Federal Member for Banks, David Coleman MP, visited 3Bridges Community, Penshurst to confirm the Government’s commitment of $500,000 towards the redevelopment of the centre.

“3Bridges, formerly known as the Pole Depot, contributes immensely to our community. They do great work with kids, older people and families but have always been constrained by the limited space they have,” Mr Coleman said.

“The $500,000 will go towards extending the existing centre to incorporate a large community hall, meeting rooms, toilets, a kitchen and counselling rooms”.

Ms Rosemary Bishop, CEO of 3Bridges, said: “This very generous contribution from the Federal Government will make such a difference to the way 3Bridges supports our community at this site. It means that we will be able to offer a great community space for meetings and activities. People with a disability will now have much better access to the building”.
