Bin the Bill Hits 10,000 Subscribers; Australian’s Rally To Stop Labor’s Shocking Misinformation Bill

Australians are taking a stand against Labor’s Misinformation Bill at www.binthebill.au.

Shadow Communications Minister David Coleman said there have now been more than 10,000 sign-ups to the Bin the Bill website.

“Australians from all corners of the nation are standing up against this disgraceful Misinformation Bill,” Mr Coleman said.

“The Albanese Government consistently uses the term ‘misinformation’ to describe opinions that it doesn’t like.

“Now, they want to make Government officials the arbiter of truth through their Misinformation Bill.

“This is completely unacceptable in our nation, which is one of the world’s great democracies.

“Incredibly, under Labor’s Bill, nothing the Albanese Government authorises can be misinformation, but criticism of the Albanese Government can be misinformation. This is indefensible.

“The Bill has been rightfully condemned by everyone from the Human Rights Commission, to the Law Council of Australia, to peak civil liberties groups.

“We need to stop this Bill, and the Bin the Bill community will play an important role in that effort.”
