It is crucial that there is genuine community consultation about any proposal to build high rise buildings under the Panania Plan. I am seeking agreement for the Council to conduct that consultation as follows:
- For any development proposal on a Panania Plan project, a community meeting must be held
- Residents who live within 1.5 kilometres of the Panania Plan project should receive notification of the upcoming meeting
- All residents who live within 1.5 kilometres of the Panania Plan project should be surveyed and allowed to provide their view on whether or not they support project
- The results of the community surveys should be published and provided to local residents
