CELEBRATING LOCAL TALENT AT THE BANKS COMMUNITY PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION 2024

David Coleman, the Federal Member for Banks, held the Banks Community Photography Exhibition on Wednesday 23rd of October at St George Arts and Crafts Centre in Penshurst.

Almost 200 submissions were on display highlighting the beauty of the local area with more than 250 people attending the Exhibition and Awards Presentation.

A panel of judges representing local art societies including St George Arts and Crafts, St George Art Society and Oatley 101 Artists selected the winner, runner ups, finalists and highly commended.

At the presentation, Nerida Morgan took home the top prize for her compelling picture, ‘Splash’. More than 30 other local residents were also recognised for their impressive photography skills.

On the night, David Warton was voted the People’s Choice with his fantastic shot titled, ‘How’s the Serenity?’.

“It was great to present an award to the winner, Nerida Morgan, for her incredible entry,” Mr Coleman said.

“Congratulations to all the entrants into the Banks Photography Competition this year. The event has become an important part of our local calendar, and it was fantastic to see so many people at the Exhibition,” Mr Coleman said.
