LAUREN DUNSTAN ANNOUNCED RUNNER-UP AT BANKS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARDS

At a ceremony on November 16, Ms Lauren Dunstan was announced as the runner-up for the Banks Volunteer of the Year Award. The Award was established in 2015 and recognises outstanding achievement in the community. More than 50 people were nominated for the Award this year.

Lauren was named the runner-up of the Award for her outstanding contribution to the 1st Picnic Point Scout Group since 2013. During this time, Lauren has volunteered as the group’s Grant Officer securing several grants for the organisation.

She has also attended the Cuboree Camp, and numerous Region and Troop Camps with the scouts. At each of these camps, Lauren assisted with site set up, cooking, cleaning and activity supervision.

“I was very pleased to present Lauren with the Runner-up Award”, David Coleman, Federal Member for Banks said.

“She has shown great commitment to the 1st Picnic Point Scout Group, with many scouts benefiting from her ongoing dedication”.
