Mr David Coleman MP, Federal Member for Banks hosted Michael McCormack MP, the Minister for Small Business at a Small Business Forum in Mortdale on July 27.
Also at the Small Business Forum were representatives of the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, the Australian Taxation Office and Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Attendees were able to discuss issues affecting their businesses with Minister McCormack and representatives of the Australian Government Agencies.
“It was good to have representatives from small businesses at the Forum. Participants from retail, manufacturing, technology and other industries all raised important matters with the Minister,” Mr Coleman said.
“In particular I would like to recognise the St George Business Chamber for its ongoing advocacy on issues that matter to local small businesses,” Mr Coleman said.
The 2017 Federal Budget included a number of measures aimed at small business including the extension of the instant asset write-off as well as ongoing regulatory reform to cut red-tape for small businesses.
